Very interesting cover, very cool. One of my favourites from them.

Not at all what I expected from Bastille. Still a cool track anyway!
****
Interesting. I only knew that it sampled Rhythm Of The Night and didn't know that it sampled Rhythm Is A Dancer as the first verse is obviously taken from Rhythm Is A Dancer. Anyway it'll probably take time to get used to as I love both songs that this samples/covers but for now it is an interesting yet inferior take on both songs.
*****
ein sehr gutes Cover!!
Besser als das meiste von Bastille...hoffetlich schafft es dieser als Nachfolger von "Pompeii"
*****
I'm really loving this! The lead singer, Dan Smith, has got a great voice, but overall, I'm just not a big fan of this band and I think the majority of their album is completely uninteresting and so very ordinary. However, this song has gave me a glimmer of hope from this band. A great mash-up of two excellent 90's classics! Hope this does well upon release in November.
****
Fairly good cover. 3.75*.
****
Such mixed feelings.

Both these songs are amongst my favourite of all time and nobody should mess with them. However the lead singers voice sounds so smooth and the mash up works well...up until that point in the chorus where his voice sounds muffled. It almost ruins the whole song for me.
****
Should have just called it Rhythm and be done with it. I guess it's okay but it's easily my least favourite thing they've done so far that I've heard. I hope it can grow on me.
**
Boring, pass.
***
Certainly more interesting than what I was expecting. I can't remember how the original goes but this sounds fine. 3.5
****
Wow, I didn't expect this style from them. If it weren't for his vocals it wouldn't be recognisable as Bastille. I have mixed thoughts on this. I like the dance beat and loved both the '90s songs that it uses. But those deep muffled autotune vocals are a real turn off. Apart from that I am pleasantly surprised.
*****
90's dance fans seem to hate this, but I think it's quite creative. I like the dark atmosphere and the über depressive video. It certainly blows Pompeii out of the water.
****
Agree with Chemmical on this one although still feel Pompeii is better. UK#2 and Ireland#2.

This surprised me. After hearing "Bad Blood", I kind of notched down "Pompeii" and "Laura Palmer" as flukes, so I was quite surprised to find myself liking this too. It wasn't instant though, but I've found myself enjoying more portions of this with each subsequent listen. Despite not usually being one for distorted vocals, I think it's effective here; it gives the track more momentum in the chorus.

Also it makes "Rhythm Of The Night" sound super dated, but it's nice to know that there's still a good tune in it.
**
I just can't get in to this no matter how hard I try. I absolutely loved both original tracks sampled/covered, so maybe that's why this doesn't feel right (because it has so much to live up to).
*
Just really really weird. Idk what else to say. I don't really like it.

Actually I abhor it now. Terrible.

This is a very clever career move by them, this is a great mash-up/cover that is completely unexpected.
***
Very uninteresting and mostly quite boring, Pompeii & Laura Palmer are much better songs.
***
An okay cover, but I'd prefer just to listen to the two songs in their original form.
*
Don't like it.
****
Nothing compared to the classic original but this has grown on me since being released, and has a very spooky video.
***
While Pompeii was a bit of an anthem, this latest offering from Bastille doesn't quite have the same magic. It's too easy to compare it to the original Corona version, and unfortunately this one falls short.
***
I wanted to like this so much that I convinced myself it's better than both originals and that was it.
I like Bastille, i'm a fan and really think they have a promising future if they can stay away from this electronic/pop stuff and continue with their absorbing thumping style.
This is inept, lacking and lifeless but is creative and clever in logic.
Just doesn't please me enough I guess.
***
This is so like totally uninteresting, like for real man, like totally.
*****
Oh c'mon, this isn't that bad! Their atmospherically spooky take on the two songs covered here feels on point and Bastille really does do it justice.
