absolutely amazing track!!! probably carrie's best and i really think this is deserving of the success this received in the states.
******
Definitely Carrie's best. Not to be beaten. Very catchy and has great attitude.

Fantastic attitude and awesome lyrics in this song. My favourite track from Carrie, very catchy and cool. I'd love for it to have charted in Australia.
****
her best single

It's not that bad musically I guess but the lyrics are really quite stupid (I'm sure your boyfriend has every right to leave you for another girl once you've destroyed his car on assumption alone, also you're getting sentenced for six months due to property damage)

I'm not sure how anyone could claim these lyrics are good (or even at all salvageable) in any way, shape or form. Put simply, these could be the worst lyrics to a song EVER. No exaggeration.

The lyrics are basically some petty, vindictive bullshit based simply on a hunch. There is no concrete evidence that he's actually doing any of the things that she thinks he's doing, because she says herself that he's "probably" doing these things, not "actually" doing them.

Also, is this really the right way to go about resolving the problem? If you are genuinely concerned that this guy is cheating, it's probably best you just break up with him. There you go. Not so hard now, was it?

And yeah, you're probably going to have to pay the guy some damages now for damaging his property, so this isn't really going to work out all that well for her in the end. I'd love to hear the sequel where the courts suck her dry and he just rebounds without any hardship, because that is what would probably happen in a situation like this.

Back to the first paragraph, has there ever been a song with worse lyrics? Let's have a look.

"She's Always A Woman" by Billy Joel?

I guess in a musical sense, the Carrie song is better, but in a lyrical sense, this is slightly worse, because at least Joel is sort-of trying to be romantic, even if it is still complete shit.

"The Reason" by Hoobastank?

They are different kinds of shittiness. That song was absolutely uninspired and had the most boring love song cliches ever, but, yet again, I guess there could be something positive there in the same way of the Billy Joel.

Wait, no there isn't. It's probably the worst song of all time and there is nothing AT ALL I can say about that song in a positive light.

Anyway, back to this, which one of these two songs has worse lyrics could go either way. Too close to call at this moment.

"Bitches Love Me" by Lil Wayne, Drake and Future?

This song is more degrading in its vulgarity than anything. I loathe it in its entirety, and this definitely trumps the Wayne song in a musical sense, but then again, which is worse lyrically is yet again too close to call.

Taylor Swift's songs 2008 - Late 2014 ("Shake It Off" being the ending point)?

I'm not sure if I've ever come across an artist who has been so consistently awful over a set time period than Swift was during this time. Fortunately, after "Shake It Off", she has picked up her game considerably.

During this period of time, as bad as it was, I don't think she ever released anything this catty during this period.

I hate a lot of TS songs, but if she had released this, this would probably be in her worst 5 songs of all time, and from me, that's saying something about how much I hate this song.

So, as you can see, this song does not have good company when I think of it.

Whatever way I dice it up, it is an utter atrocity and completely irredeemable.

How extra of you @KingBandicoot, if i cared enough i could dig up at least 50 songs lyrically/musically worse from Blink 182 or Kanye West.
