A very good hip-hop record from the most famous Canadian in the scene. It frustrates me greatly when he gets written off as some kind of sham artist for being on Young Money, when really he's at a far higher level musically than Wayne or Minaj and really the only major flaw of this album are their presence on 'Make Me Proud', 'The Real Her' (which is still a highlight, nevertheless) and 'HYFR'. Otherwise it shows a fascinating, innovative and occasionally beautiful mix of rap, electronica, R&B and pop with great collaborations from his fellows in Canada (The Weeknd, Chantal Kreviazuk, Boi-1da and of course 40) and other great like Rihanna, Jamie xx, Stevie Wonder, Kendrick Lamar and Andre 3000.

Take Care ist wohl DAS beste Drake Album. Es ist sehr RnB-lastig und melancholisch, das Cover wurde dazu perfekt ausgewählt. Nachdem Drake die erste Erfolge mit seinem Debüt abklammern konnte, hat er realisiert dass dies nicht alles im Leben ist. Der Song Marvins Room ist für mich das grösste Highlight, da er es dort schafft, eine sehr gute Atmosphäre aufzubauen. Auch das Piano Solo am Ende kommt sehr gut. Man hört auch sehr stark die Einflüsse von The Weeknd raus, an einigen Stellen hört man auch einige Vocals/Ad-Libs von ihm.

Gutes drake-album. Meine highlights sind „take care“ mit riri und besonders „headlines“. Für die fünf reicht es trotzdem noch nicht ganz.
