I was a bit hesitant to listen to this at first, but after I listened to this album, I was hooked. My music tastes have changed during this decade, so I really do enjoy Grouplove's style of Alternative and Indie pop (with a small amount of Electronica).
Being a relatively young band, their production isn't perfect, but what they do is enjoyable to the group they intend to target with their style. Also, there are some evident '90s influences (see Raspberry and Hippy Hill) here and there.
Overall, a good follow up to 'Never Trust A Happy Song', and the highlights for me are 'Borderlines And Aliens', and 'Didn't Have To Go'.
1. I'm With You 4.6* 2. Borderlines and Aliens 5.5* 3. Schoolboy 5.0* 4. Ways To Go 4.5* 5. Shark Attack 5.2* 6. Sit Still 4.3* 7. Hippy Hill 4.2* 8. What I Know 4.9* 9. Didn't Have to Go 5.3* 10. Bitin' the Bullet 5.0* 11. News To Me 4.9* 12. Raspberry 5.1* 13. Save the Party 4.3*
**** At times they're just too quirky for their own good, but it usually works in their favour. 'Ways To Go', 'Raspberry' and 'Borderlines And Aliens' stand out for me, but one thing that the typo made to the other database entry had got me thinking: they're an American band? Anyway they're probably just messing with people there, while we take no note of it. Except for me, maybe I'm part of the conspiracy. :O 3.75
