*****
I've seen the group compared to The Killers, The 1975 and U2 several times; my liking for all those groups might explain why I've taken to Inhaler very quickly. However, in this song it's actually Pulp I'm reminded of most of all, primarily because of Elijah's vocal delivery, especially on lines like "you know what else can I do". The song is very well crafted, with fantastic use of synth, as well as excellent work on guitar and drums to build the song very well. The chorus is immense, capitalising on fantastic buildup through the verses, and especially the pre-chorus, which manages to elevate the song successfully in a very short timeframe so that the chorus flows seamlessly despite how much bigger it feels than the verses. This is exceptionally good, and has me very excited for what they'll do in the future.
