Jess' Stimme ist einfach genial und die Produktion noch dazu. Sie macht einfach die Musik die bei mir momentan auf und ab läuft.<br><br>Klasse, ich freu mich riesig aufs Album.<br><br>Momentan 5.5* aufgerundet da ich früher oder später sowieso die Höchstnote verteilen würde. |

Irgendwie kann es für die weitere Karriere schon schwierig sein, wenn man mit seinem ersten international bekannten Song ("Rather Be") einen Megahit landet - und sich folglich daran messen lassen muss. Auch die neue Single von Jess Glynne hält diesem Vergleich nicht stand, überzeugt aber mit einem sehr flotten Sound und der gewohnt guten stimmlichen Leistung der Sängerin.<br><br>Schon recht gute 4, aber eben kein Übersong. |

Not feeling this track. I can't believe she is already on 5 chart toppers as she feels to me like a supporting artist. There seems no hype or fame that would be expected upon reaching such a landmark. Her fifth UK#1. UK#1 and Ireland#13.

wow! das ist wirklich eine hammer-nummer! so macht vocal-house (oder was ist das ganz genau?) richtig spass!<br>jess hat echt ne tolle stimme! und die produktion hier ist definitiv überdurchschnittlich, nicht bloss wegen dem trommeleinsatz :-)<br>ich war von ihren letzten zwei singles nämlich eher leicht enttäuscht. "don't be so hard to yourself" nehm ich mir zu herzen :-) |

I actually think Jess Glynne has a great voice. Some vocal moments of hers are just fantastic and she's very nearly good enough to singlehandedly make me like the otherwise generic dance songs she keeps churning out. She could absolutely kill it with a great song; hopefully she gets the chance one day. Performer aside, the only thing to note on this song is that the title has too many words to fit in the chorus in a way that's not awkward. It works much better during the verses. |

There's some real power behind this one, but I also find the title too long which makes for a very wordy chorus. Fairly decent though and for now it's better than 'Hold My Hand'. 3.5 |

Not too shabby.<br><br>EDIT: This grew on me a fair bit in the end.<br><br>It reminds me a bit of John Newman's "Love Me Again" (#3 on my mid-decade chart), which is obviously a great thing.<br><br>3* -> 4*

I still think a vast majority of her music is rather formulaic and samey, which is unfortunately because I agree she has a lot of potential. Despite the song being so wordy in general, she somehow pulls this one off very well. The uplifting vibe is complimented by the inspiring lyrics, which I'm convinced is what has made many relate to this track much more than the others by her. |

I think it's been said before that this song is a bit wordy in the chorus to its detriment, but I think the real flaw that comes up in it that it doesn't engage in its sentiment. Compare to "Hold My Hand" where Jess is in full control and dictates the changing mood, here it just feels like for the first two thirds of the song, she's just singing an emotionless take of the song, as if it were a vocal demo for a bigger star, or she was singing in a language she doesn't speak. I just can't engage in self-affirmation if I have no way to suspend disbelief on how genuine it sounds. Track sounds quite nice otherwise, strings a bit creative and it does have a good stomp to it. |

Jess Glynne ist meiner Meinung nach eine wirklich gute musikalische Entdeckung der letzten Zeit. <br><br>Hierbei handelt es sich um einen starken Dance-Track, gesungen von einer talentierten jungen Frau mit einer markanten, tollen Stimme. Sehr sehr gut. |

Bei ihr muss ich mich immer selbst daran erinnern, wirklich nur die Musik zu bewerten. Ich finde diese Frau total hübsch. Der Song selbst ist mir aber ganz objektiv solide vier Sterne - aber auch nicht mehr wert. |
