A step up on some of her previous singles. Musically this is actually really lovely. I've just never connected to it melodically, because the title is too clunky to be repeated the way it is here. I also always cringe a little when Jay Sean enters the fray because there's just something goofy and offputting about his delivery 'I think that WE oughta work it out'. I suppose it's not bad for what it is (considering the world of dreadful duets like this out there), so I'll take that as a win. 3.3

Not actually too woeful. Maybe I'm judging by the low standards most of the Get Em Girls album has set, but this is actually listenable. I don't like it, but I don't hate it.<br><br>Edit: Now I like it. A lot. Really nice and very catchy. Chorus is especially good.

This has grown to become my favourite from Jess Mauboy. Nice track that shows that she is a force to be reckoned with, with her versatility and vocal chops.

Gutes Beispiel denn: "What happened to us" klingt gar nicht so weit entfernt von der Sparks-Ballade "No air". <br><br>Ein süßes Duett das nicht hervorsticht. |

What makes this so perfect for me is the little trills Jess does and the way she sings some of her notes, especially in the chorus. They are so subtle but so effective and really rather beautiful. This is the one song that I listen to when I'm feeling any sort of mood and it really makes me appreciate what music is. An absolute gem of a song and deserved every week of its 31-week run at the top of my PC. I just wish I could give it a 7* or higher. Written by two of the best ballad-writers around, and sung by the best (in my opinion) ballad-singer around. Absolutely perfect and my favourite of all-time.<br><br>I hate you junaid.

i'm not one of those bias guys just cos its an aussie track so i'm going to give it a proper rating which is a 2* cos it's not very catchy and its very dull. Actually, make that a 1* just cos i want to bring down the average to lessen the effect of favouritism. |
