| *** meh it's ok still very average, nothing on her Been Waiting Singles though, it's an improvement on Get Em' Girls just, Ludacris's rap is shit.

growing on me a little bit now Last edited: 24/11/2010 10:29 |
| ***** HOT! |
| *** better than get em girls, but why ludacris?? YUK! |
| **** Not a bad listen. Should have been released as the first single over the abomination that was Get 'Em Girls. |
| *** Very average. Jess has drastically gone downhill since Been Waiting. |
| ** schwacher R&B-Dance-Track, zu hektisch produziert - 2+ |
| * No No No No.

Edit: I've hammered this point numerous times so I might as well put it down in review form: "Pushing 90 on the freeway so we can make good time". There are three possible scenarios for this, 1. It is implied that 'they'(?) are travelling above the speed limit, (90 for a freeway though, really? Unless it's miles, and knowing how great it is to try to be American, it probably is, although I see no need to travel beyond 88 miles per hour). From my accurate recollection, breaking the speed limit is breaking the law, and I believe this song peaked in popularity around the New Year's festivities. Picture the scenario where someone who had already made the foolhardy decision to drive under the influence of alcohol, they turn on the radio and this song is on. When that line comes up, they think "Hey, I can do that too", fast forward, traffic accident, double demerit points, very wrong. The second scenario would imply travelling at the speed limit. *cricket* Oh right, everyone does that already, no one cares. I'd count out the third scenario due to silliness, but the other two are too ridiculous that it even deserves a mention, that being the idea of travelling below the speed limit. As I said, very silly, but probably a safer alternative to the other two, and if it helped avoid a traffic accident, it probably would make (relatively) good time. Overanalysis? Yes, but I dislike this song, and that lyric.

+ nomination for the most non-existant backing beat.

237th best charting hit of 2010! Last edited: 03/02/2011 18:52 |
| *** Mauboy scheint die Arbeit mit US-Rappern Spass zu machen, nach Snoop Dogg jetzt mit Ludacris ist immerhin kein Cover des Whigfield-Songs 3+
|
| ****** A smash hit !! A bomb !! |
| **** ▒ Prima dansplaat van "Jessica Mauboy" & "Ludacris" uit oktober 2010 !!! Niet echt speciaals misschien, maar wel lekker voor op de zaterdagavond !!! Vet 4 sterren ☺!!! |
| *** Nicht das Gelbe vom Ei. |
| * Very very very very very poor. And that's no exaggeration, either. |
| **** A million times better than Get Em Girls, it's kind of fun and catchy but still weak compared to her first batch of singles. Last edited: 20/10/2020 01:53 |
| *** Highest Peak In My Personal Charts: #36 (1 week) |
| *** Not her best.... BUT WAY BETTER THAN GET' EM TRASH!!!
And is it just me or does that scream sound in the song sound like the scream in Rihanna's Disturbia????? |
| ***** this tracks REALLY growing on me |
| ***** A vast improvement on Get 'Em Girls, but still not her best release yet. Another cheap and tacky clip of course. She should spend her money on better clips as opposed to international rappers. |
| **** Hätte Potenzial, ist mir aber zu hektisch und unmelodisch.
(3.5*) |
| ** It would be better if it didn't ape so hard on Dynamite and the other songs of a similar nature. Formulaic... which pretty much describes Jess, unfortunately. |
| ****** Sooo much better than Get 'Em Girls, one of her best songs off the album. Spent 2 weeks at #1 for me over the Christmas period, a great summer party song. Hope she keeps releasing more great singles from Get 'Em Girls
|
| * TRASH! |
| ** It's quite cheap. Though Get 'Em Girls is worse, this is only half a step above that. |
| ***** Klasse! |
| ** Oh Jess what have you done? After you had such a great first album, it seems you've gone backwards. This would have been good if it were released in 2004 but this style is just old school. Time to catch up. |
| * Terrible!!!!!!!! |
| *** Much better than "Get 'Em Girls", but nothing special. |
| ***** Despite the a bit out there lyrics and lack of a backing beat (as jinx stated) this is great. The Ludacris inclusion is a good one and its catchy as hell, would have been a much better lead single than "Get 'Em Girls" was. This got the peak it deserved but should have had a longer chart run but didn't due to it being one of the tracks Sony refused to let enter the chart until it had a high enough debut. | ***** Took a little while to get to like this, but once I did this was stuck in my head for ages. The silly lyrics don't faze me. The song would be just as good without Ludacris. Great track. |
| ****** great track, really enjoyed it |
| **** Good song, interesting collaboration.

Ranked #132 on my end of year best songs of 2010 |
| * it sucks |
| *** It is a very silly song with some silly lyrics but it's catchy I guess which redeems it enough for 3 stars. Ludacris is shit but at least his part doesn't last long.

Hijinx's review is perfect :P Last edited: 26/12/2013 01:53 |
| ****** Einfach nur geil!! |
| * Better then Get Em Girls but it's still a disgusting piece of shit. |
| * 1 star |
| * Nothing special.

Whigfield has a better song with the same title. |
