Really loving this. Great clip too. Lily, you are amazing

EDIT: Upon watching the clip again, I really feel Lily is to be applauded. he fact is, this has the potential to be a Fuck You chart wise, but lyric-wise, radio will struggle to find a place for it.

The video is a perfect example of the way women stars are sexualised to sell. The line "If you can't tell im being sarcastic, then you've misunderstood" hits the nail on the head regarding the song and video. Cheeky product placement isn't so "subtly" shoved in our faces in this video like they try to do in others.

Pretty catchy but it's offensive to the point where it's far less enjoyable. 3.5

This is really good! I've missed Lily Allen!

#baggypussy :P

A propitious yet solid return form Lily Allen. This track has some of the best lyrics I've heard in pop music for a while.

It is provocative, and it will get the people going.
***
Well it's obvious that she's put more effort into making this a satrical, biting piece of commentary than a genuinely good song, I mean the song itself is just there, nothing praticularly good or bad about it.

The video is also pretty much a version of 'Blurred Lines' for people who were too blind to understand the irony of the original.

I'd love to be Robin Thicke right now, having participated in a song and video that's one of the most biting and witty send-ups of male douchbaggery in years and now sitting back watching stupid people call it 'sexist'.

I love Lily so fucking much. I would love it if she could become the female Justin Timberlake, absolutely smashing with every album she releases without having to stay in the music scene.
****
Not saying I disagree with the message but the way it's presented is not great. Also is a bit cringe how it attacks "Blurred Lines" even though that song itself was not serious. It does feel a bit irrelevant in 2013 admittedly. The video is amusing at least, I never saw it as racist before I saw all of the controversy surrounding that but I can see it now. But other than that issue it is amusing.

I guess the song is good but I don't care about it a lot anymore and don't even care to seek it out. I definitely echo that a bit more work could've been done to make it something that stands out more if you remove all of the context. She definitely has numerous better songs.

I'll admit that I've never been the biggest fan of Lily Allen, but this isn't completely terrible, like many of her other songs have been.

I agree with many others on here that this is a satire, rather than trying to be a good song itself, but I think the "bitch" is a bit overused.

Also, are those balloons in the music video a parody of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" music video, or just a coincidence? I'll go with the former.

Overall, this was a difficult song for me to rate, as I don't like Lily Allen and the song is "meh" to me altogether, but one of her more acceptable offerings.

Not a song that will get repeated hearings with me.

Also, over time, I'd probably see the rating dropping than rising.

A 2.5* song, given the benefit of the doubt to get a 3* instead of 2*.

This is just fantastic, great way to come back. Though I think it can go either way (women can sell a lot more with their sexuality). I find the lyrics to be very clever and the clip is so damn funny!
****
It's a pretty catchy track but the repeated "bitch" doesn't really work and just reeks of desperation. 3.5
*****
Wasn't sure at first, but I really like this now. It sounds very playful yet the lyrics are the exact opposite and I like that contrast. Also the video is great and probably her best. 4.5
****
Solid return by Lily, Quite catchy, The repetition of bitch in the middle does lower its rating a bit for me, 3.5.

Good track! My thoughts have pretty much been summarized up by everyone else.
***
Gets an extra point for the message but I don't like the track itself.

She's back at her best!

I remember the mid '00s very fondly. There was that whole thing about how all those damn rap videos would show off the bitches and bling without even considering thinking of the children. I always wondered why people latched onto those sort of things, but then it occured to me that the kind of people who associate themselves with such hedonism, are themselves exceedingly wealthy and thus able to legally purchase all of that, while the less wealthy who complain of it are probably illegally downloading their music (by doing both, you become a twat).

But then as that whole era died down a lot (thankfully), so did all the imagery associated with it. Very rarely do songs with objectifying videos come into the charts nowadays, and if they do, it becomes laughable. After all, once everyone's caught onto a trick, it stops working.

So I think the video to this would have worked a lot better if it came out 5 years ago. Now it's 2013 and I don't even know what it's supposed to be mocking. Well apart from "Blurred Lines", y'know that song/video from 3 married men, the one that was so blatantly ridiculous that it was obviously a parody. Facefloor Lily, facefloor.

There's a song that accompanies this too. It's not particularly good. It has potential in some points, but generally I just get confused at where it's supposed to sit. I mean it's not a banger of any sort, and the production is too confused to sit on anything I can vibe on, something about it is just...off. I also don't care if the atrocious auto-tune is also parodical, the bottom line is that it's offensive to my ears.
****
Peaked at No. 43 on my personal chart.
***
better than i expected but very average
***
Ok
****
As with any Lily Allen track, it's all about the lyrics, and she does a good job at pointing out the flaws in society. Not a bad song too!
****
brava e bella!
**
Not really feeling this one. 1.5 stars.
****
This song took a while to grow on me but I do enjoy it now. The autotune is yuck though and ruins the song because her voice is so light that it becomes even more noticeable. Chorus is particularly bad and unimaginative.
*****
Great song. Really good message in the lyrics and the video is cool also. Better than "Air Balloon" and "URL Badman".
****
Ok

Already sounds so dated and to be honest it was not very memorable.
