This is a top quality album, I'm not sure whether or not I prefer it to Congratulations, but they're both great. my favourite tracks from this album are "Kids" & "Weekend Wars" although there are no bad tracks.
*****
I prefer this to Congratulations, I like the sound of this album more, though both are good. Oracular Spectacular just has more standout tracks for me as well, such as Time To Pretend, Kids, Weekend Wars and Electric Feel. A great album, very cool sound.
******
Spectacular album, although I think it is just beaten by its successor. Time To Pretend, Electric Feel, and Of Moons, Birds and Monsters are the best, but they're all good.
*****
This debut album by the Psycidelic rock duo is just an amazing album though not a masterpiece just like that.

The opener, Time To Pretend is an average track but to me, it was a moderate hit to me.

Then Electric Feel came around and became their only top 5 hit for me and it is damn catchy. I guess MGMT can't beat that on the Congratulations album unfortunately.

And Kids was kind of a weak follow up because this was too electronic but catchy nower days.

The rest, I don't know but has a good sound. The album charted in the top 3 for me but it just too poppy. I would prefer Congratulations better despite the fact this didn't chart as good as this mainly because it is more progressive and all. Good album. If there was a pop oriented album I wanted to buy, it would be this one!
