The build up is definitely worth it!

A different, yet solid return from Mumford & Sons.
****
Musste anfangs auch direkt an Coldplay denken.
Ich mag diesen Track. Abends, wen es draussen leicht regnet, im Auto und dieser Track läuft. Perfekte Atmosphäre!

A good return for them, I like it.

Good song.

As soon as it gets going the song finishes! Pretty good though. 3.75

What irelander said! I was just getting in to it, and then it finishes.

The higher up in the music industry an artist goes, the less they can feel or portray a legitimate connection to their audience. After all, they can hire a publicist to take care of their social media, preventing any sort of mishaps or the like, but the trade off is that everything feels a lot less personal, and the artists feel detached from the real world.

So for a bait & switch, I find it rather interesting to think that Mumford & Sons are genuinely listening to their retractors. "Sigh No More" was huge, "Babel" was more or less the same thing (though slightly better in my books) and still huge, who's to say they couldn't keep up with that? Well for one, all the people who called them out on it. Alternatively they're still just being twats and instead choosing to emulate the most popular rock band of the century but I guess you can't just do that and get away with it so easily when you've nurtured a fanbase in your own way.

This could be all well and good but the problem in this case is that it means Mumford & Sons have to fall back on their songwriting abilities, and truth be told, they're not really up to scratch. "Believe" in particular is drab and uninspiring. There's a nice bit of warmth to the guitar tones earlier on, and it does eventually gain some momentum but it's just not worth warranting any attention is it? 2.8
****
It doesn't really have too much happening, and I think the instruments kick in a little too late, but when they do, it sounds good. Really doesn't sound like a Mumford & Sons song though.
