*****
Gets a bit tedious, but it's good to know The Cave, Little Lion Man and Winter Winds aren't the only highlights.
***
Bit boring, they are a very unique band but their music doesn't appeal to me though. Can't believe Little Lion Man was Triple J's #1 song last year.
*****
I quite enjoyed it. Sure, there's no second Little Lion Man here, but there's plenty of banjo-busting little tunes to enjoy along the way. 4.75
*****
Vey strong debut, few songs a tad predictable but plenty of standout tracks like Dust Bowl Dance, The Cave, Winter Winds, Roll Away Your Stone and of course Little Lion Man.
****
A solid album, but it's major problem is much of it is very samey. The singles are clear standouts.
*****
It is very samey and all that but lyrically brilliant with a very easily flowing feel throughout.
Highlights include the brilliant 'Little Lion Man' & 'Thistle & Weeds'.
***
For an album that had so much acclaim and has hung around on the charts around the world for such a long time, I expected so much more. Maybe that was my problem??

I think it's a nice album with some standouts (particularly Little Lion Man and Dust Bowl Dance), but it just seems to all run in together with not much difference between the songs. A major problem I found was that it took a long time to get into a song, and then there are like five slow songs together at the end? I would have definitely changed the track order.

It would be a 3.5 for me but it's rounded down because I'm disappointed to be quite honest. There are some lyrical gems here though, but some of the rhyming couplets really get on my nerves.
