De eerste keer dat ik dit luisterde, vond ik er geen flikker aan. Daarna nog een paar keer gehoord en toen vond ik het wel oké, maar nu ik 'Somebody' nog eens terug luister om het op deze site te beoordelen, hoor ik ook wat mensen er zo leuk aan vinden. 'Somebody' is een solide R&B-track met funky invloeden en een catchy hook. Eigenlijk is het gewoon een lekker nummer. Ik had geen idee dat Natalie La Rose Nederlands was, maar ik vind het tof dat iemand uit ons land toch zo veel succes heeft in het buitenland. Amerika nog wel, en dat is volkomen terecht!

Ich mag den Song ungemein, Natalie ist endlich mal eine neue im Geschäft und mit Jeremih hat sie sich den richtigen ausgesucht. Das Video ist auch toll gemacht und mich nahm der Track sofort mit. Klare 6*

Somewhat enjoyable, but nothing all that special.<br><br>I'm also pretty sure that chorus is a blatant sample (with a slight switch-up) of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)". That is pretty much all I could pay attention to the first few times I heard the song.<br><br>EDIT: For some strange reason, the more I've been hearing this song, the more I'm starting to like it (even if it is only a slight increase).<br><br>There's nothing particularly special about the structure of the song. You can just tell when you're listening to it that it repeats Verse, Pre-Chorus, Chorus over again.<br><br>Also, during Natalie La Rose's parts, I always feel like it's going to break down in to Tinashe's "2 On", and during Jeremih's parts, he's going to break down in to his other song "Don't Tell 'Em" (I always feel as if it's going to do something like this: And we ain't gotta tell nobody/ We ain't gotta tell nobody/ Don't tell 'em/ Don't tell 'em/ You ain't even/ Don't tell 'em/ Don't tell 'em/ You ain't even/ You ain't even gotta tell 'em/ Don't tell 'em/ Don't tell 'em/ You ain't even/ Don't tell 'em/ Don't tell 'em/ You ain't even/ You ain't even gotta tell 'em/ Don't tell 'em/ Don't tell 'em).<br><br>What I've written in this edit don't exactly sound like reasons to like the song, and they aren't. The chorus is a bit memorable but the verses seem like they will be forgotten. The opening beat is good and it's a relief that I don't have to hear "Mustard On The Beat" at the beginning of it.

I really like the way she pronounces her name, that alone earns her an extra star. Other than that this is a nice spring hit, definitely above average. A very interesting use of the Whitney sample.

It's nice but doesn't really go anywhere, also you can't dance to it. But I still like it for some strange reason.

Es beruhigt mich ja sehr, dass es nicht nur mich sehr an "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" erinnert hat. Ist aber eigentlich auch schon die spannendste Assoziation, die ich bei diesem auf Eingängigkeit und schnelle Konsumfreuden ausgelegten Titel hatte. Ansonsten lässt sich die Nummer gut hören, ist allerdings auch leicht wieder zu verdrängen.<br><br>Knappe 4 noch.

Der Durchbruch für La Rose, die Gehilfin von Flo Rida übrigens. Mit dieser Nummer hat sie es gerade noch so in die Top 10 der Billboard Charts geschafft. Das Cover hat einen leichten "anfang 90er Touch". Ihre Debüt Single lässt sich auch ganz gut hören. 5*

Mal sehen ob`s ein Hit wird. Klingt eigentlich ganz entspannt. Leider ein Song ohne wirklichen Höhepunkt. Da hätte man etwas mehr draus machen können.

KB's review perfectly sums it up for me too. The problem for this song though is that the three aforementioned songs (I Wanna Dance With Somebody, 2 On, Don't Tell 'Em) are far, far superior and this is really a bit lazy and I would rate it lower if it wasn't her debut so I'll cut her some slack. The production would be a highlight for me as well as the verses.

I apologise if I am unintentionally and unknowingly repeating something that has already been said.<br><br>If you look up the word 'Bop' in the dictionary, you're wasting your time because it's right here. Vaguely mimicking DJ Mustard, but with more life to it making it sound so fresh and summery. I'm not convinced this is a star-making performance from Natalie, but she does at least convincingly inhabit the vibes.
