Kann mich da nur voll anschliessen, auch ich bin positiv überrascht von dieser Scheibe, hätte nicht gedacht, dass mir soviele Songs gefallen. Sie haben wirklich ihren eigenen Stil und der erinnert glücklicherweise nur sehr selten an die guten alten Boybandzeiten mit den überemotionalen, schmalzigen Balladen, sie machen sehr moderne Popmusik, die mich überzeugen kann.

Een vrolijk feelgood album van de Britse popgroep "One Direction" met de leden: "Louis Tomlinson", "Niall Horan", "Liam Payn", "Zayn Malik" en uiteraard "Harry Styles"!! Misschien géén hoogvlieger, maar wel leuk genoeg voor 4 sterren!!! ☺

The phenomenon that is 1D is really not my thing in general and since their debut release my patience is being tested upon every release.<br>They have a polished production which most of the time ruins what could be a few more highlights on this album but with the onus of putting as much into 3 minutes of music as possible, it gets over bearing and souless.<br><br>39/78

Als Boyband sicherlich klar über dem Durchschnitt, das Songwriting ist sehr auf Ohrwurm ausgerichtet.<br>Meine Musik ist es halt nicht.

I think if I listened to these tracks individually I would probably enjoy them a lot more. It's quite difficult to look at an album objectively when it feels like the same thing over and over again. But anyway, the songs themselves are pretty decent with nothing overly awful or offensive, but then there was nothing spectacular for me either. I love Kiss You but once again, because I'm listening to an album of 1D songs, it doesn't stick out as much as I thought it would. The slower more folk-influenced tracks (some of them written by Ed Sheeran) sound out of place, a welcome change but still sound distinctly like Ed Sheeran songs and in my mind I'm thinking that Ed should be singing not 1D and definitely not Louie. But there were a few tracks I enjoyed and would have probably enjoyed more if they were released as singles (particularly Last First Kiss and They Don't Know About Us). <br><br>3.8/6

Wenn ich meinen Musikgeschmack als Kind/ junger Teenie reflektiere... Dann kann ich hier ja nicht mal sagen „Wenn ich 11 Jahre alt wäre, dann würde es mir bestimmt gefallen“. Es ist und bleibt stumpfe Musik, zugeschnitten auf pubertierende Tussis und kleine Mädchen. Wer das mag, der findet auch Adam Levine und Channing Tatum attraktiv. Vieles belanglos, manches richtig grottig.

One Direction’s sequel to Up All Night is surprisingly great. Sure, it isn’t exactly a complete evolution of their first kiddie album but the new tracks felt like a natural transition into a deeper meaningful take while still maintaining their cutesy pop tone. The songs here also have a little more variety and you can tell most of the songs apart from each other. Almost all the songs are catchy and the tracklist order feels right.
