It's a great album. I don't think it has many hit singles in the album compared to the mega-success that was "I'm Not Dead" or "Funhouse".<br><br>Blow Me (One Last Kiss), Try, Slut Like You, Here Comes The Weekend, Run and Good Old Days were my favourites from the album.

Nach den starken Alben "I'm Not Dead" und "Funhouse" ist das neue Werk keine Offenbarung, sie klingt einfach immer zu ähnlich. Natürlich sind wieder viele Ohrwürmer und einige schöne Balladen dabei, doch insgesamt überzeugt "The Truth About Love" doch nicht so ganz. In vielen Songs ist sie mir auch zu laut, weshalb ich auch abrunde.<br>Nun ja, 4,24 im Durchschnitt ist ja nicht schlecht, und einige potentielle Hit-Singles hat sie noch im Gepäck - es wird schon nichts schiefgehen.

Da ist sie endlich wieder die echte Pink!!! Dieses Album klingt wieder so als hätte sie das gemacht was ihr gefällt!! Bei weitem nicht so konmerziell wie Im not dead oder funhouse, eher als follow up zu ihrem meiner meinung nach bisher besten Album Try This zu sehen!! <br><br>Viele sackstarke Songs die zu ihr passen!! Und wann kriegt man schon 19 (!) neue Songs aufs mal? <br><br>Bin definitiv begeistert!!! |

Grossartiges Album, man merkt es ihr einfach an, dass sie mit viel Spass bei der Sache war und wirklich Songs aufnehmen konnte, mit denen sie sich wohlfühlt. Das Album ist alles in allem relativ ruhig, bietet aber doch immer wieder auch schnellere Titel, es wird nie langweilig. Highlights sind für mich "Try", "Just Give Me A Reason", "How Come You're Not Here", "Slut Like You" und alle 4 Bonustracks, es lohnt sich, die Deluxe Edition zu kaufen, da hat es wirklich Perlen drauf! |

Ihr nunmehr sechstes Studioalbum, und ich muss sagen, ich bin keineswegs enttäuscht. Das Album hat vielerlei Sachen zu bieten, Spass aber auch Anregungen zum Nachdenken. Ich mag P!nk einfach, die ist cool. Mit der mal so eine Nacht um die Häuser zu ziehen, wäre sicher witzig...<br><br>Dem Album gebe ich natürlich 6*! Man kriegt, was man erwartet. So durchschaubar Pink ist, so erfolgreich ist ihre Musik, bzw. so effektvoll sind ihre Songs. Fehlende Authentizität kann man ihr nicht vorwerfen, da jeder der Album-Tracks zweifellos nach Pink tönt. Fehlende Originalität darf man ihr allerdings vorwerfen, da sie sicher zu mehr fähig ist als zu diesem beliebigen Radio-Poprock.<br><br>Naja, ich muss das Ganze etwas relativieren, schliesslich finde ich das Album alles andere als schlecht. Die Songs sind eingängig und einfach zu hören. Insbesondere bei "Slut Like You" muss ich immer grinsen, während mich "The Great Escape" sogar leicht berührt.<br><br>Sonstige Highlights: "Try", "Just Give Me a Reason" und "Where Did the Beat Go?" |

Das Album unterhält mich in diesem Winter gut, vor allen Dingen die beiden ersten Singles sind grandios und gehören zum Besten was P!nk je gemacht hat. Daneben sind auch "Just Give Me a Reason", "Slut Like You" und die einfühlsame Ballade "Beam Me up" sehr gelungen. Ansonsten gibt es keine wirklichen Ausfälle, aber auch keine ergreifenden (melodischen) Einfälle, die mich insgesamt zu einer 5 verleiten würden. |

Zwar ist und bleibt "Try" das Highlight, doch auch "True Love" mit Lily Rose Cooper / Lily Allen gefällt mir sehr. Der Rest des Albums ist zwar nicht 'outstanding', aber auch nicht schlecht und eben ganz ok.<br><br>Highlight: "Try" |

Après avoir mis le monde à ses pieds en 2008 en se vengeant de son ex dans le tube mondial "So What?", notre fausse rebelle préférée désormais mère de famille revient en 2012 en nous exposant le fruit de ses diverses expériences amoureuses, compilées en un album qu’est "The Truth About Love". Comme à son habitude entourée de ses acolytes Dr. Luke et Max Martin (Britney Spears, Ke$ha, Katy Perry…) et cette fois d’un prestigieux cru d’invités (Eminem, Nate Ruess…), la chanteuse nous offre la peinture d’un amour multi-facettes. Est ainsi véhiculé un message d’espoir et de persévérance dans le touchant "Try", second single au texte répétitif mais percutant et mis en valeur par un somptueux clip. Espoir qui perdure dans le duo avec Nate Ruess (chanteur de Fun.), "Just Give Me A Reason", là aussi un temps fort de l’opus grâce à la parfaite harmonie des deux interprètes.<br>Dans un registre qui fait sourire, Pink nous dévoile sa version du véritable amour dans "True Love", petite comptine aux lyrics amusants. La (courte) présence de Lily Rose Cooper (faites bien attention à ne plus l'appeler Lily Allen), bien qu’anecdotique, assure la fraîcheur du titre. Formatage radio oblige, Pink n’a évidemment pas oublié de nous servir son lot de bombes atomiques. A commencer par le commercialement parfait "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)", premier single au sous-entendu significatif, sans oublier l’explosif et provocateur "Slut Like You", single évident, ou encore le délicieusement rock "How Come You’re Not Here", dont le rythme effréné nous invite à nous dandiner allègrement tout le long. S’il paraît comme un spectaculaire plantage aux premiers abords, "Here Comes The Weekend", ovni de l’album avec Eminem, nous agrippe au fil des écoutes malgré sa mélodie volontairement dissonante. Passé ce lot de tubes potentiels, l’interprète de Stupid Girls n’oublie cependant pas son objectif premier : la qualité. Exit le faiblard "All We All We Are", "The Truth About Love", titre éponyme, s’impose comme le paroxysme de la réussite, tirant sa force de son chant en canon et du timbre voilé de l’interprète. <br>Enfin, le rythmé "Good Old Days" clôture le bal et envoute par ses claquements de main répétés et le timbre alarmé de l’interprète, conférant ainsi au titre une ambiance nostalgique.<br>"The Truth About Love" n’est en aucun cas l’album de l’évolution. Pink ne prend pas le risque de s’aventurer vers les sentiers inconnus et se contente d’accomplir ce qu’elle sait faire de mieux, de la pop efficace, soignée et entêtante. Et on en redemande. Car que vous soyez pop, rock, dance, ou davantage orienté urbain, l’album saura vous satisfaire. Et c’est de cet éclectisme que ce 6ème opus tire sa solidité. Par opposition à toutes ces popstars des années 2000 dont le succès commence à s’effriter (Christina, Britney, J-Lo…), Pink prouve bien que la route est encore longue et que sa recette n’est pas prête de lasser. Certains considéreront qu’elle ne fait que tourner en rond, d’autres verront dans ce disque une Pink qui se perfectionne davantage dans son domaine de prédilection, la pop. Et ce n’est pas les (déjà) près de 2,5 millions de copies écoulées de "The Truth About Love" qui iront le contredire. <br> |

It's a solid album but the true standouts are certainly the singles and a lot of the other tracks just seem like filler. Also there are the moments when it comes across like she's trying too hard to be edgy and cool and it's just embarrassing. But all up it's not bad. |

For me, P!nk's best work is and will always be 'I'm Not Dead'. I have a real attachment to that album since I listened to it so often as a teenager and really felt a connection to a lot of the songs on there. As such, I found 'Funhouse' and especially this album quite difficult to get into. The immature stuff and swearing is still there which is always hard for me to get past, but then there's actual trash with tracks like Slut Like You and Here Comes The Weekend (with a particularly uninspired cameo appearance by Eminem). I've never strongly disliked anything post 'I'm Not Dead' by P!nk as I have those two songs. <br><br>Saying that, the ballads really lift up the album and even at 19 songs, the album didn't drag towards the end (it's more the middle where I was waiting for it to end but it got better). The singles are pretty good (with the exception of True Love which got old fast) but other standouts include 'Beam Me Up', 'Is This Thing On' and 'Run'. All up it's a decent album but less enjoyable than I'm Not Dead and Funhouse for me.<br><br>85/114 |

Ihr letztes Album bis heute als Solokünstlerin:The Truth About Love.<br>Erstmals in ihrer Karierre baute die gute P!nk hier etwas ab.Nach 4 Hammeralben in Folge(das Debüt nicht dazugezählt) sank die Leistung erstmals leicht in den Keller.<br>Zum einen liegt das daran dass einige Songs schlicht und ergreifend zu harmlos produziert wurden.Es passiert nichts.Solche Art von Songs gab es auf den Vorgängeralben eigtl überhaupt nicht.Klar eingängig waren sie schon immer.Doch hier fehlt auf vielen Songs der nötige Biss.Trotz all dem hat dieses Album dennoch einige sehr starke Songs zu bieten.Mein persöhnliches Highlight dieses Albums ist der Song Chaos and Piss.Eine unglaublich zarte,emotionale und zerbrechliche Ballade!WOW!Welch eine Schande dass dieser Song erst auf der Fan-Edition das Licht der Welt erblickte!Für mich einer der besten P!nk Songs aller Zeiten!An sich würde ich dem Album 5 Sterne vergeben,doch die zahlreichen Bonussongs ziehen das Album nach unten da sie einfach nicht gut sind!Ausnahme:Die 3 Bonussongs der Fan-Edition(The King is dead,Timebomb und Chaos and Piss).Die sind echt spitze!So vergebe ich 4 Sterne!Nicht das beste P!nk Album aber dennoch gut hörbar und mit dem ein oder anderen Highlight versehen! |

Für mich gefühlt ein typisches 4*-Album.<br><br>Hat echt gedauert, dass ich mich dafür erwärmen konnte. Viele Songs zünden nicht ganz sofort. Und P!nk reitet mir zu sehr auf dem rum, was sie halt bereits gut kann. <br><br>Doch jetzt gebe ich es zu, dass dies ein weiteres gutes Popwerk (inkl. rockigeren Einschlag) von ihr ist. <br><br>Meine Lieblingstracks jetzt: "Where Did The Beat Go?", "Try", "Slut Like You". |
