***** I've taken a strong liking to a more dreamy pop sound of late but then I've been a fan of this band for quite a while now, and their alternative shoegazey sound fits right in with that, only with more guitars which can't be a bad thing. My main observation when listening to this album is that the tracks compliment each other. While some of them don't hold up so much on their own, listening to the album from start to finish is a delightful experience. This cohesion doesn't stop the fact that it is extensively hook-laden, particularly on key highlights in "Make Believe" & "Mean Spirits".

Though it is aided by being the one I'm most familiar with, I think this may be my favourite of their albums. 5.5 |
