This is an iconic album although it probably sounded better back in 1995. You can see clear inspiration in what has come before it, particularly drawing on sounds made popular by Prince or Janet Jackson. They can deliver with attitude though, and they sure know how to make a track sexy. Red Light Special and Waterfalls are both great singles, probably my favourite from their catalogue, while album tracks like Switch and Sumthin Wicked This Way Comes also help to hold up the albums. The strange interludes seem out of place, but all up, this is a pretty impressive album. 77%
