* Fuck you you ho, I don't want you back.

I don't know whether to hate this as much as the Fast Cars because at least this stays true to the original for the first verse, but then, it's even less original than the Fast Cars are and even more of an obvious cash in considering Love Yourself is about two minutes old.

The guy has a pretty crap voice and loses to Bieber in that regard, and considering it was apparently him that wrote the original verse, it's clear that the girl is only there to sucker people into thinking this has any real relevance as opposed to just being another Frankee. His verse is shit anyway.
* so this has what the charts has become. Where random YouTube covers suddenly get enough attention to become actual hits. The thing I enjoyed about the original is that it didn't need to go the cheap lazy way of using the F word to make its point. And that actually helped me enjoy the song more. Far too many songs these days put in swear words for no reason at all but to be attention grabbing and to appeal to the 'cool crowd. For the majority of these songs replacing the swear word with damn, crap or any other monosyllabic words would still work - see Glee covers for what I mean. This cover just cheapens the original and shows just how mainstream the F word has become. Also throw in t e fact that the original is still fresh this song just comes out as redundant and pointless. Buy the original people and say the F word yourself if you are that desperate to hear it. One of the most pointless covers of recent times.
** For an idea that's already been done, it does not help that both singers have an obvious inability to stay in tune. Meddling with the lyrics in the way they do just makes things worse. When it gets this bad, I'd rather poorly performed original songs over poorly performed covers of great songs any day. 1.5
