Starke Nummer von Zayn, den ich schon immer am meisten mochte aus 1D!<br><br>Die Lyrics verstecken nicht um was genau es bei diesem Track geht, dass mag ich! Dazu eine tolle Produktion und die etwas auf erotisch getrimmte Interpretation von Zayn, machen für mich das hier zu einer runden Sache! Tolles Video übrigens! 5*<br><br>edit: hätte schon längst auf die Höchstnote sollen! Eine unglaubliche Nummer, riesen Hit in meinen Charts! 6*

Also der Videoclip ist durchaus ein Hingucker. Musikalisch bin ich überhaupt nicht begeistert und finde den Song auch ziemlich vorhersehbar und kalt. Schlecht genug, dass er schmachtende Teenies vom Impulskauf abhalten wird, ist er aber sicher nicht. Wer auf bombastischen Plastik-Pop vom Fließband steht, wird hier gut bedient.<br><br>Gute 3. |

Wenn man meinen Gesang derartig bearbeiten würde und so viel Hall darüber legte, würde er wohl auch so ähnlich klingen. Der Song ist genau das, was eben momentan (leider) so angesagt ist, zumindest in den Single-Charts. Wobei mich ja zum Glück Alben ohnehin viel mehr interessieren. Maue 3 für diesen Track. Da hätte er auch gleich bei One Direction bleiben können, wenn er weiterhin diese austauschbare Mucke vorträgt. |

Ik had sowieso niet zo heel erg veel verwacht van het solodebuut van Zayn Malik, maar ik ben positief verrast. Het is zo anders dan wat hij uitbracht met One Direction: zo duister, zo dromerig, maar zonder ook maar iets aan catchiness kwijt te raken. De boyband is misschien uit elkaar, maar de bakvisjes kunnen met een gerust hart weer verder soppen nu Zayns soloplaat er eindelijk aankomt. |

This is a very average track. It is alright, not spectacular. It got to #1 due t the benefit of today of instantly releasing a song, so most people how want to hear it buy it, as opposed to the old days where you could hear it on the radio or TV for 2 weeks before being forced to buy it. If you didn't like it, you didn't have to buy it.<br><br>I admit my opinion is a little bit clouded by the persona of Zayn the musician. It's not so much that he was in One Direction, it's just that he is trying so hard to distance himself from One Direction that I am developing an irrational dislike for anything connected to him. From his whinge that he never wanted to be part of One Direction. That he hasn't listened to the last album, to the unnecessary swearing in this song, the one name moniker. It all comes across as a little too try hard. Even when Robbie Williams left Take That he didn't rub me the wrong way like Zayn has.<br><br>Maybe over time I will begin to like his music, similar to how I have grown to like some of Justin Timberlake solo stuff. Hopefully Zayn will follow Justin's path and lose some of the ego that he currently has. Its better to embrace your past than pretend it never happened. Until that day happens, this songwill remain at an average score of 3. |

Ich höre zurzeit bei der Arbeit über Kopfhörer viel Internetradio, und zwar bewusst keine Musik, dich ich privat gerne höre, damit sie mich nicht zu sehr ablenkt.<br>Und das ist einer der wenigen Songs aus dem Channel der aktuellen Charts, auf dem gefühlt die immerselben 10-15 Songs in Dauerschlaufe laufen, über den ich mich stets freue. Erstaunlich für einen Ex-Boygroup-Hansel, ist man versucht dranzuhängen.<br>Und mal ehrlich: Fürs Solo-Debüt die Topmodel-Freundin (ob die mein Geschmack ist, sei dahingestellt) zum Knutschen ins Video holen zu können, ist schon cool ...

Eh, nothing about this is good.<br><br>Firstly, the song doesn't even sound finished for starters. It sounds like it is going for more of a minimalist sound, but rather, it just sounds rather empty and soulless more than anything else.<br><br>Secondly, and this is an important one, the lyrics sound like their striving to be mature and insightful but completely fail in that regard. The best we get is that the sex he is having causes "pain" and "pleasure", is a "paradise" as well as a "war zone", takes place at both a "slow" and "high" tempo, that he is being held "hard" and "mellow", and that his lover is both his "enemy" and his "ally". I mean, wow, not only is his sex this thing, but it is also the exact opposite thing as well! That really is all the wisdom we get here, and it really isn't doing anything for me.<br><br>The best we get in the way of sexual imagery here is that they're going to "piss off the neighbours" with the noise they are making, and if that is the best you can do, then you have failed massively.<br><br>Furthermore, the lyrics have this violent undertone to it as well, with the mentions of the happenings being "dirty and raw" and that there is "fighting", it is a "war zone" and that they are "prisoners". These lyrics just paint a picture to me that this sex isn't consensual, but sounds rather "rape-y", for lack of a better word.<br><br>If anything, this is just proof that leaving One Direction has done nothing to improve Zayn's artistic credentials. |
